Hi, I have a big problem with my laptop.
The battery won’t charge, eventhough it is plugged in(the blue light from the ac adapter is on).
When I start Windows, in the lower right corner where the battery icon is, it says: “0% available, plugged in, not charging”.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
Go into the BIOS setup (f2 at powerup) and check to see whether the AC adapter is listed as “unknown” or “not installed”. If it is, Update the BIOS first. Then try a new Dell OEM AC adapter – if that doesn’t solve the problem, replace the power jack inside the system – and if that doesn’t solve it, replace the mainboard.
