Lenovo has many similar model names, so the safest way to avoid a wrong order is to match the FRU/Part Number on your existing battery. Then confirm voltage, Wh, and the connector.
Step 1: Find the FRU/Part Number on the old battery
- Look for labels like FRU, P/N, ASM, or Replace.
- Copy the number exactly (including dashes/letters).
Step 2: Confirm the laptop model code (Type/MTM)
Use the full model identifier from the bottom label or Windows system information. Series names alone (e.g., “ThinkPad T”) can be too broad.
Step 3: Match V, Wh, and connector
- Voltage (V) should match.
- Watt-hours (Wh) helps compare size/runtime class.
- Connector + battery shape must be identical.
