How to choose the right Lenovo laptop charger

    20V 4.5A (90W),
    20V 6.75A (135W),
    20V 8.5A (170W),
    20V 11.5A (230W) for high-end Legion / workstation models.
  • One or more Lenovo part numbers, for example:
    ADLX65NLC3A, ADLX65YDC3A, ADLX90NLC3A,
    ADLX135NDC3A, ADLX170NDC3A, ADLX230NDC3A,
    or spare codes like 45N0111, 45N0362, 36200237, etc.
  • The DC output symbol and sometimes “Lenovo” / “ThinkPad AC Adapter” text on the label.

  Your new charger should have the same voltage and an equal or higher wattage than the original adapter.

• 2. Check the connector (plug) type.
  Lenovo mainly uses three types of DC connectors:
  • Round barrel plug – used on older ThinkPad / IdeaPad models (e.g. 7.9 × 5.5 mm with inner pin).
  • Rectangular “Slim Tip” (yellow) plug – used on many modern ThinkPad, IdeaPad, Yoga and ThinkBook laptops.

  Turn the laptop upside down and look for:
  • The Lenovo model name and sometimes a Machine Type, for example:

  This information helps confirm whether you need a 45W, 65W, 90W or higher-power charger.

• 4. Worldwide input voltage and power cord.
